- Thursday, May 16, at 5pm: Manhassett author Suzanne Rosenwasser will speak on "Writing with a
Sense of Place." Indefinitely postponed.
- Friday, May 17, at 5pm: Director's Choice Book Club:Telegraph Avenue, by Michael Chabon.
- Tuesday, May 21, at 1:30pm: WFL Screenings: The Riddle of the Sands (1978), with Michael York.
- The next regular meeting of the Library Board of Trustees will be at the library, at 5pm, on Wednesday, June 12.
- Friday, June 21, at 5pm: Director's Choice Book Club:The Beauty of Humanity Movement, by Camilla Gibb.

- Saturday, July 20, 2013, 9am to Noon: 47th Annual Book, Bake, and Art Sale.

Ongoing:
- Tech One-to-One:One-to-one help sessions here at the Library. Sessions are
scheduled for the first Thursday of the month, at 5pm. Bring your questions, problems, laptops, devices.
- Story Time for Young Children, Mondays from 3:45 to 4:45pm. Story and Craft.
- Wednesdays, at 4:30pm: Come and listen! Reading Aloud at the the WFL. Emma, by Jane Austen, read by Sue Hazlett.
- Kaffeeklatsch. First Friday of the month, 10am. Come and enjoy a mug of coffee or tea and a snack
while you catch up with neighbors,
friends,
and fellow WFL patrons in our inviting new library.
- Copying, faxing, and color laserprinting services available. Bring in your portable device and use our free Wi-Fi.
- The library is accepting donations for the annual Book, Bake, and Art Sale now.
Renovation News
The Willett Free Library re-opened on Friday, January 4, 2013, after an extensive renovation/expansion project. Stop and check out our wonderful new space. This is an exciting time for the WFL!
If you still have any items on long-term loan, please bring them back as soon as poosible! Many, many thanks to all those who helped the library by storing a significant portion of our collection during the time that we were closed.
Buy a Brick!

Collections:
The Library has over 10,000 items for adults and children to borrow. The
collection includes fiction, nonfiction, large print, magazines, audio
cassettes, CD's, videos, DVD's, and a young children's picture book collection.
The WFL participates in the Ocean State Libraries system, allowing local patrons access to public library collections
statewide, and giving library users throughout the state access to our collections.

Our flag depicts a sailing ferry built by Stillman Saunders. At his home, a
"Circle for Mutual Improvement" was formed in 1885; the beginnings of this library.
When the flag is flying, the
WFL is open.
